Roaming Train is an interactive machinima piece experimenting with how varying environments can define the parameters and characteristics of the cameras that will be used to view the area itself. The setting of the piece is meant to take place on a workbench inside of a train hobbyist’s workroom. The beginning environment features rolling hills, lush grass, and wooden split-rail fences on either side of the wooden-plank railroad ties, to mimic the stereotypical model train environment.

After this point, the player has the opportunity to navigate the train through various environments including a cityscape, jungle, candy land, desert, and mountains. Based on the current area that the train is located in, the camera angle options change to help create the appropriate mood for that area.

Throughout this project, my primary contributions were in the modeling of the opening, jungle, mountain, and concluding areas, which were all made in Maya.
